he’s accomplished something that many ‘leaders’ struggle with - he knew when to let go. the mfer community was built w/o his intervention but his presence still was intertwined w it. (read his intentions here ↓)
lots of mfers been asking ‘what are mfers’ so here’s the backstory
then 6/9 comes around (more memes) & he releases an OE knowing that many ppl were priced out of any of his art, &/or the official mfer project - a farewell for anyone who wanted to say goodbye + a nice parting gift while his ‘stock’ was at it’s highest.
it’s truly ‘poetic’ and it is the bow tie on a story that spreads a wonderful message:
- don’t take everything so serious
- laughter is healing
- create w/e u want
- help ppl out
- don’t be greedy
- memes are crucial
- know when it’s time to move on

if u didn’t have any capital invested in the mfer world then this could all be meaningless, but as a fellow ‘leader’ it is a breath of fresh air. it is a reminder that u can do this thing however u see fit, and as long as u are a ‘reasonable’ person others will come support u.
he could have run his account for YEARS. he could have done multiple OE’s, more projects, more airdrops, a cash grab or two, etc… he could have ‘stayed around long enough to see himself become the villain’.
instead he made sure that the ending of his ‘journey’ was the way he wanted & that it ended on a high note - reminds me of Khabib Nurmagomedov retiring unbeaten.
